NEW ORLEANS, LA – Darius Miller is the rarest of rare breeds on a John Calipari roster – a senior. Anthony Davis, on the other hand, is much more symbolic of the kind of talent Calipari has become known for recruiting – a freshman with breathtaking skill who is soon to depart for the NBA.
But together, Miller and Davis will look lead the Wildcats to what many have already deemed a foregone conclusion – an NCAA championship.
Kentucky is heavily favored to win it all in New Orleans, and capture the school’s first national title since 1996. Ironically, it was Rick Pitino who led the Wildcats to that title, the man who now stands in the way of UK reaching Monday’s national championship game.
John Tautges and Kevin Kugler caught up with Davis and Miller ahead of the Wildcats’ huge showdown with in-state rival Louisville in the Final Four.
