DENVER – New uniform, same Peyton. In his Denver debut, Peyton Manning threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns as the Broncos beat Pittsburgh 31-19 on Sunday night.
Denver trailed 19-14 after Ben Roethlisberger’s touchdown pass to Mike Wallace early in the 4th quarter, but finished the game with 17 unanswered points to seal an opening-weekend victory.
Manning’s first touchdown pass was the 400th of his storied career. He missed all of the 2011 season before being released by the Indianapolis Colts in the offseason.
Dave Sims and James Lofton called the action on Westwood One Sports.
