Stanford will be the latest Pac-12 team to try to slow down the Quack Attack this Saturday night when they head to Eugene to take on the high-flying Oregon Ducks.
Undefeated Oregon is #2 in the BCS and the Ducks’ offense leads the nation by averaging 54.8 points per game. But Stanford is 8-2 and boasts a win over USC and a near-miss against one of the nation’s other unbeaten teams in Notre Dame, so the Cardinal will be no pushover.
Ahead of the game, Stanford head coach David Shaw spoke with our Jason Horowitz about slowing the Ducks down, his star running back Stepfan Taylor and how he wishes freshman Marcus Mariota would’ve chosen somewhere else besides Oregon to play his college football.
