This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” Pro Football Player of the Week is Calvin Johnson.
Detroit’s All-Pro wide receiver caught 11 passes for 225 yards in Detroit’s 31-18 loss to Atlanta, setting a new NFL record for yards receiving in a single-season. Johnson passed Jerry Rice’s mark set in 1995, when Rice had 1,848 yards for the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson now has 1,892 yards on the year – with a Week 17 matchup coming up against the Chicago Bears as he tries to become the first player in NFL history to go over 2,000 yards receiving in a season.
Calvin Johnson was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone Pro Football Player of the Week.
