KANSAS CITY, MO – Ole Miss earned Friday’s first upset with a victory against fifth-seeded Wisconsin 57-46, sending the Badgers home early while the 12th-seeded Rebels await the winner of (4) Kansas State and (13) La Salle on Sunday.
Marshall Henderson led Mississippi with 19 points, overcoming an awful first half that saw him shoot 1-11. Senior Reginald Buckner helped out on the glass by collecting 12 rebounds, while Wisconsin’s slow offense never found its groove and saw none of its starters reach double-digits in points.
Kevin Calabro and Will Perdue called the action on Westwood One Sports.
