OAKLAND – It started late, but it was worth the wait for the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders defense forced five San Diego turnovers en route to a 27-17 victory in the latest West Coast game in NFL history.
Terrelle Pryor had a pair of first-quarter touchdown passes to stake Oakland to a 14-0 lead, then Charles Woodson tied the NFL record for most defensive touchdowns with the 13th of his career on a third-quarter fumble return.
Philip Rivers threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to get the game close again late, but a pair of interceptions – including one by Woodson – sealed the Chargers’ fate.
Tom McCarthy and Rod Woodson called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
