SAN FRANCISCO – Graham Gano’s 53-yard field goal put Carolina ahead and the Panthers stingy defense kept it that way in a 10-9 win over San Francisco on Sunday at Candlestick Park.
The Panthers limited the 49ers to just three field goals and only 151 yards of total offense. They also forced a pair of turnovers, including a game-sealing interception by Drayton Florence with less than one minute left in the fourth quarter.
DeAngelo Williams scored the game’s only touchdown on a 27-yard run late in the third quarter.
Dave Sims and Rod Woodson called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
