This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” College Basketball Player of the Week is J.J. Mann.
WestwoodOne NCAA Basketball host Jason Horowitz filed this report:
“If is was mid-March, J.J. Mann’s shot Sunday would go down as one to always remember. Instead, it’s only November and what appears just to be an early-season upset win for Belmont, but after talking to coach Rick Byrd this week, I found out it’s a lot more than that. J.J. Mann scored 28 points in the Bruins win at North Carolina and hit the game-winning three to cap what Coach Byrd called the best week for the program…and he is in his 27th season leading the Bruins and has taken them to the NCAA Tournament six times since 2006. That says a lot, and is good enough reason to make J.J. Mann our Autozone Player of the Week.”
J.J. Mann was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone College Basketball Player of the Week.
