Four years ago, Ashley Wagner was on the outside looking in as she missed the cut for the 2010 Vancouver Games by a single spot.
That won’t be the case this year, as the two-time U.S. national champion will head to Sochi next month dreaming of winning gold on the world’s biggest stage – but not without a bit of controversy. At the national championships this year, Wagner finished fourth after falling twice. Still, she was selected as one of three to represent the U.S. based on her performances over a longer stretch of time.
