Manchester City closed the gap on leaders Chelsea thanks to a 5-0 win over Newcastle coupled with the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Burnley. City is now five points back of Chelsea with 12 games remaining.
Elsewhere, Arsenal rode their luck, but held on to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1. The Gunners moved up to third in the table after Manchester United was defeated 2-1 by Swansea.
Southampton remains fifth, but Liverpool is hot on their heels after a 2-o win Sunday. Southampton has 46 points with Liverpool on 45 and Tottenham on 44.
