ANN ARBOR, MI – Zak Irvin scored 22 points and Duncan Robinson added 17 as hot-shooting Michigan defeated third-ranked Maryland 70-67 on Tuesday night.
Robinson was five of nine from three-point range to lead the Wolverines, who shot 41 percent from deep as a team.
Diamond Stone led the Terrapins with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Melo Trimble had an uncharacteristic off night. The Player of the Year candidate was just one of seven from the field and scored only two points.
