Later, Texas Tech advanced past Michigan State with a 61-51 win inside U.S. Bank Stadium to set up a meeting of Cavaliers and Red Raiders in Monday’s National Championship Game.

Behind a 21 point, 9 rebound and 6 assist performance from Ty Jerome and 15 points from Kyle Guy, Virginia advanced to its first National Championship Game in program history.

Paced by Matt Mooney’s game-high 22 points, Texas Tech made the most of its first Final Four appearance in school history with a 10-point triumph over Michigan State, 61-51.
