BOSTON, MA – Ohio State led early, watched Cincinnati rally, then finished off their homestate rivals with a late flurry to advance to the Elite Eight with a 81-66 on Thursday night.
Deshaun Thomas scored 26 to lead the Buckeyes. Jared Sullinger added 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Cashmere Wright led Cincinnati with 18 points in defeat.
2nd-seeded Ohio State advances to play top-seeded Syracuse Saturday in the East Regional Final.
