This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” Pro Football Player of the Week is Adrian Peterson.
Peterson was unstoppable in Minnesota’s playoff-clinching win against Green Bay, rushing for 199 yards and a touchdown and adding another TD receiving in the game.
Just a year removed from an ACL injury, Peterson had a fantastic season, rushing for 2,097 yards — the second-highest total of all time. In the end, Peterson fell just nine yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s 1984 record of 2,105 yards rushing in a single-season.
Adrian Peterson was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone Pro Football Player of the Week.
