ARLINGTON, TX – The Broncos and Cowboys combined for 99 points and more than 1,000 yards of total offense in a shootout in Texas on Sunday, with Denver coming out on top by a final score of 51-48 when Matt Prater’s 28-yard field goal split the uprights as time expired.
Peyton Manning threw four more touchdown passes, upping his total for the season to 20 – an NFL record for the first five weeks of the season. Manning also ran in a touchdown – his first touchdown on the ground since 2008.
In the defeat, Tony Romo threw for five touchdowns and 506 yards – the 15th 500-yard passing game in NFL history.
