COLUMBIA, SC – Elliott Fry had four field goals as South Carolina did just enough to eke out a 19-14 win over Florida on Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium.
Connor Shaw threw for 213 yards and a touchdown in the Gamecocks’ victory, which was sealed late thanks to a late interception of Florida quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg.
With the victory, South Carolina finishes its conference schedule at 6-2 and will represent the SEC East in the SEC Championship Game on December 7th if Missouri fails to beat both Ole Miss and Texas A&M the next two weeks.
Kelvin Taylor had a pair of first-half touchdown runs for Florida, but that’s all the scoring the Gators could muster.
John Sadak and Chris Doering called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
