DENVER – Emmanuel Sanders caught three Peyton Manning touchdown passes as the Denver Broncos improved to 6-1 on the season with a 35-21 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night.
Sanders had nine catches for 120 yards and the three scores. Demaryius Thomas added eight catches for 105 yards. Ronnie Hillman also went over the 100-yard mark on the ground, picking up 109 yards on 20 carries.
Antonio Gates had five catches and two touchdowns for the Chargers and passed Lance Alworth as the leading receiver in team history.
Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts called the action on Westwood One.
