Rod Woodson on the Chiefs, special teams madness and the game of the week

Lightning RodPro Football Hall of Famer and WestwoodOne NFL analyst Rod Woodson was more than just an 11-time Pro Bowl defensive back during his stellar career. It’s easy to forget that he was also one of the best return men in the game on punts and kickoffs during the first eight years of his career in Pittsburgh.

In this week’s installment of Lightning Rod, he gives his insight into the new habit of kick returners taking the ball out from DEEP in the end zone and punt returners catching the ball up against their own goal line. Plus, an assessment of the only unbeaten team left in the NFL and his pick for the game of the week in Week 8.
