NFL Highlights: Texans 34 – Lions 31 F/OT

11/22/2012

DETROIT – In a wild Thanksgiving Day game, Shayne Graham’s 32-yard field goal gave the Houston Texans a 34-31 overtime victory over the Detroit Lions.

The most-talked-about play of the game will undoubtedly be Justin Forsett’s 81-yard scamper after he appeared to be down by contact not once, but twice. However, by rule, because Detroit coach Jim Schwartz threw the red challenge flag on a play that is not able to be challenged, the play was not reviewed. The run pulled Houston to within three points at 24-21 and swung the momentum in the Texans’ favor.

Kevin Kugler and Mark Malone called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.

(Mikel Leshoure’s 2-yd TD run puts Detroit up 7-0)

(Arian Foster’s 6-yd TD run ties it at 7-7)

(Matthew Stafford hits Mike Thomas at it’s 14-7 Detroit)

(Matt Schaub connects with Owen Daniels to tie it at 14-14)

(Calvin Johnson’s 22-yd TD grab makes it 21-14 Lions)

(Justin Forsett’s disputed long TD run cuts the Lions lead 24-21)

(Joique Bell puts Detroit up 31-24 with a 23-yd TD run)

(Arian Foster’s 1-yd TD run ties the game at 31-31)

(Jason Hanson misses a FG in overtime that would’ve won the game)

(Shayne Graham wins it for the Texans with a 32-yd FG)
