Olympic Interviews: Speed skaters Shani Davis, J.R. Celski and Jessica Smith

02/10/2014

Shani DavisSOCHI, Russia – It was a busy day on the two speed skating tracks at Sochi Olympic Park, with Americans competing in both the men’s 500-meter long-track event and a pair of short track events: the women’s 500m and the men’s 1,500-meter.

Sadly, the day didn’t end with any medals. The 500 isn’t the best event for two-time Olympic champion Shani Davis – he’ll be looking to claim his third straight title in the 1,000-meter race. On the small oval, J.R. Celski finished just off the podium in the 1,500-meter final and Jessica Smith wiped out in a qualifier for the 500.

After their races, the trio spoke with members of our broadcast crew.
