MNF Highlights: Broncos clinch playoff berth with 20-17 win over Bengals

12/29/2015

DENVER, CO – DeMarcus Ware recovered a mishandled snap in overtime to clinch a 20-17 win for Denver over Cincinnati on Monday night. The victory also secured the Broncos’ spot in the playoffs.

Denver had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Brandon McManus badly missed a 45-yard field goal as time expired. McManus, however, was on the mark in overtime to give Denver a 20-17 lead.

With a win next week and a New England loss, the Broncos could secure the #1 overall seed. They could also drop to a Wild Card if they lose and Kansas City wins.

Cincinnati has already won the AFC North; they’ll secure a first-round bye with a win and a Denver loss next week or if Denver and Kansas City both lose next week.

Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner called the action on Westwood One.
