MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Minnesota Vikings clinched a playoff spot with a 49-17 demolition of the New York Giants on Sunday night.
Adrian Peterson rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown, Jerick McKinnon had two runs for scores and the Minnesota defense added a touchdown in a comprehensive win to take the Vikings back to the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
Minnesota will face Green Bay next Sunday night with the NFC North title on the line. The loser will go on the road Wild Card weekend, while the winner will host an opening weekend playoff game.
