Full Interview: NFL’s Joe Browne looks back on Super Bowl history

02/04/2016

SAN FRANCISCO – When it comes to the big game, perhaps nobody has done more to get it done than Joe Browne.

Our Scott Graham sits down with the former NFL Executive Vice President of Communications and current Special Advisor to Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has attended 48 of the previous 49 Super Bowls and will retire after Sunday’s game.

Nobody in the league office has attended more Super Bowls than Brown, who also had the privilege of announcing the AFL-NFL merger to the press. Browne takes us through the process of choosing the first host site, tells the story of how security and safety has developed at the stadium and tells us why Roman numerals are so important to the Super Bowl.

Listen to Joe Browne’s interview with Scott Graham.
