KANSAS CITY, MO – After falling behind 24-0 in the first quarter, the Kansas City Chiefs rallied to defeat the Houston Texans 51-31 on Sunday afternoon.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes turned the 24-point deficit into a 28-24 halftime lead with a dazzling second quarter that featured four passing touchdowns, three of which went to Travis Kelce.
With a four-point lead to start the third quarter, the Chiefs scored the first 13 points of the second half for a total of 41 unanswered points en route to their second straight AFC Championship Game appearance.
The Chiefs will host the Titans next Sunday with a trip to Super Bowl LIV on the line.
