MIAMI GARDENS, FL – On Halloween night, a game full of the weird and wild ended in a 22-20 overtime victory for the Miami Dolphins over the Cincinnati Bengals, marking only the third time in NFL history that an overtime game ended on a safety.
Cameron Wake’s sack of Andy Dalton with 6:42 remaining in the extra session gave Miami its first win since September 22nd.
The Dolphins led 17-3 after Brent Grimes returned a Dalton interception 94 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, then had to rally for a game-tying field goal in the final seconds after the Bengals had scored 17 unanswered points – including a spectacular 35-yard touchdown run by Giovani Bernard.
Ian Eagle and Trent Green called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
