OMAHA-Pac-12 Player of the Year Joseph Young played all 40 minutes and scored 27 points to post Oregon to a 79-73 NCAA Tournament win over Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State got within 70-69, but the Ducks put the game away at the foul line.
Young shot 8-of-15 from the floor, with three 3-pointers, as the Ducks advanced to a third-round game on Sunday. Elgin Cook scored 18 points and Dillon Brooks added 17 for Oregon. Le’Bryan Nash tallied 18 points in a losing effort for the Cowboys who ended the season with losses in 7 of 8 games.
