EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Eli Manning’s 12-yard TD pass to Larry Donnell with :21 left gave the New York Giants a 30-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The Niners had taken the lead just more than a minute earlier on Carlos Hyde’s touchdown run, but Manning led the Giants on an eight-play, 82-yard drive that ended with Donnell’s leaping grab in the back of the end zone.
With the win, the Giants improve to 3-2 on the season and are alone in first place in the NFC East. The 49ers dropped their fourth straight game and are 1-4 on the season.
