ARLINGTON, TX – Jordan Matthews’ 41-yard touchdown catch and run of a Sam Bradford pass gave the Philadelphia Eagles a 33-27 overtime win over Dallas and left the Cowboys’ season on the brink of extinction.
Philadelphia had led 21-14 in the fourth quarter after Jordan Hicks returned an interception for a touchdown, but Dallas answered right back with a Matt Cassel-to-Dez Bryant touchdown reception, followed by the teams trading field goals over the final seven minutes of regulation.
The Eagles won the toss in overtime and Dallas never saw the ball, with the Matthews TD sealing a victory and improving Philadelphia to 4-4 on the season. The Cowboys dropped to 2-6 and have dropped six straight for the first time since 1989.
Kevin Kugler and James Lofton called the action on Westwood One.
