OKLAHOMA CITY — Their will be no shortage of crimson in the stands at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium over the next few days as Alabama downed Cal 5-2 on Sunday afternoon to join Oklahoma in the best-of-three championship series, which begins Monday night.
Jackie Traina pitched seven solid innings for the Crimson Tide in the victory and she also belted one of Alabama’s three home runs on the day.
With Cal and Arizona State both failing to make the championship series, 2012 will mark the first year since 1986 that no Pac-12 team makes the final.
The championship series will be broadcast live on the Westwood One / NCAA Radio Network on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (if necessary). Kevin Kugler and Leah Amico will have all of the action beginning each night at 7:45 PM Eastern. You’ll be able to hear every pitch on a local affiliate near you, streaming right here on WestwoodOneSports.com and on NCAA.com, and on the Slacker Mobile app for iOS and Android.
