This week’s Pro Football Player of the Week is Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson.
It’s not often a quarterback can throw four interceptions in a game and still earn the honor, but Wilson gets the nod thanks to being the central part of the Seahawks come-from-behind victory over Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game.
Wilson ran a touchdown in to make the score 19-14 as the Seahawks began to rally. Then made several plays as Seattle drove the field and took the lead. In overtime, he was at his best again, connecting with Jermaine Kearse on the game-winning score.
Russell Wilson was definitely “In the Zone” and he was named our Pro Football Player of the Week, brought to you by AutoZone, at the conclusion of playing during Westwood One’s broadcast of the Championship Sunday.
